Austin graduated with honors from Ball State University in 2009, earning both a bachelor's and master's degree in accounting.  He then spent two years working for a local Chicago firm performing tax and assurance functions. While he lived in Chicago, Austin received his CPA license before moving in 2011 to Grand Rapids, Michigan to work for a large international accounting firm performing assurance projects. Austin moved back to his hometown, Auburn, in October of 2012 and partnered with Steve Post. Austin is also an Investment Adviser Representative. He is passionate about helping clients with financial and retirement planning, while providing expertise in tax efficient investing.

Austin is married to DeKalb native, Mariah Martz.  They share two daughters together. During his free time, you will find Austin with his 3 girls or out having fun in the country.
